Let’s celebrate with Family

Problem
In 2015, Supermercados La Colonia launched a 40th-anniversary campaign that yielded excellent results. However, in 2016, sales declined, and the anniversary campaign went unnoticed, allowing competitors to gain a slight advantage by celebrating their anniversary in the same month.

Solution
In 2017, the goal was set to surpass the sales results of both 2015 and 2016. A team of digital experts was given the opportunity to create a comprehensive campaign, leveraging data and insights from their respective social media platforms and the supermarket. The strategic mix focused on a clear path: families coming together for grand celebrations.

The campaign was launched across various media channels, emphasizing the main message: August is La Colonia’s month. To prove this, not only did we have a strong mass media plan, but we also made the most of all available digital tools, including Facebook Live to showcase winners, Google Display Network, YouTube ads to expand the reach of the TV commercial, and all the anniversary content that could be created.

Results
The campaign not only achieved the goals set by the board of directors but exceeded them by 1.6%.
